Charles-Edward Amory Winslow was born in 1877. He received degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) in 1898 (B.S.) and 1899 (M.S.). He taught at the University of Chicago, the College of the City of New York, Columbia University, and Yale University.
